Reclamation Program

Solids Reclamation

Under the California code of regulations and EPA there is a specific definition for scrap metal. Scrap metal does not include metal fines, dust and powders, grinding residue, bag house dusts, or mud that is less than 100 micron in size (beach sand). This material would normally be classified as a hazardous waste due to its metal content; However federal and state laws do have provisions for this material to be reclaimed and/or recycled. Much of this material has value. Remedy will pay the broker/generator to manage this material for them. Examples of this type of material are: nickel, cobalt, copper, zinc, tungsten, iron, aluminum, and others.

Please fill out the Recyclable Materials Profile(PDF) if you would like Remedy to use your recyclable materials. After you have finished filling in the required fields, please sign digitally and email. You may print a copy for your own records.
